The Downtown Travel Medicine Clinic is a full service travel clinic with all travel vaccinations and malaria prevention on-site. There’s no need for additional prescriptions and visits to the pharmacy, everything you need to stay healthy on your trip is right here at our clinic.

We are licensed by the Public Health Agency of Canada to administer Yellow Fever Vaccine. We also make every effort to provide appointments in a timely fashion and we try to accommodate last minute travellers.

You will have a one-on-one consultation with our experienced travel doctor. We are updated daily on the latest international travel alerts. At many other travel clinics, a Medical Doctor will not personally see you, nor will you be advised by a seasoned traveller.

After working in travel medicine for over 40 years, our doctor is extremely knowledgeable and can often offer unique advice based on your travel plans.

We don’t overcharge or oversell.

We’re a top choice for seasoned travellers due to our reasonable prices and a reputation for recommending necessary vaccines only. All travel medicine clinics charge a consultation fee but ours is among the lowest at $49. We know each trip is a unique experience and our advice is tailored to the exact itinerary of every traveller.

All publicly funded vaccines are administered free of charge.

We are located in Downtown Ottawa just steps from Parliament Hill, CF Rideau Centre and Centretown.

Our location is ideal for those who work in the downtown core and is also easily accessible by bus and LRT as we are directly along the transitway. Metcalfe Station is directly in front of our building.

For those driving to our clinic, parking is readily available next door at the World Exchange Plaza.

“I saw Dr. Weiner after seeing my family physician for a travel consult and I wish I had gone to Dr. Weiner prior to seeing my family GP. It was extremely quick to get in to see him for a travel consult, the staff there are all extremely nice and professional, and the fees were HALF of what my family GP charged me for a consult. He travels a ton, so he knew exactly what I needed for my trip to Peru, laid out my options for medications, giving me the pros and cons of everything, and even went above and beyond, telling me what kind of clothing I should bring, a handout on foods to avoid to prevent illness. additionally, all the services were done in his office. I had to come back to get my vaccines which is to be expected but all my prescriptions were given to me the day of, no extra stops to the pharmacy. I will definitely be going back to this clinic for my future travels, I highly recommened Dr. Weiner.

“We saw Dr Lorne Weiner before our honeymoon trip to Cuba. He was so helpful and didn't try to push any vaccines that weren't completely necessary. The rates were fare and they didn't charge us for our flu shot, which we were quoted at $30 each at another clinic before calling this one. Dr Weiner also gave us antibiotics as a honeymoon gift as a precaution. 🙂 This was a very nice gesture and while we are very happy we didn't have to use them it was great to have them just in case one of us fell ill.
